Event Details

The New England Progress Users Group (aka NEPUG) is pleased to announce that on April 12th we will be hosting Getting Started with OpenEdge for .NET an all-day workshop led by Mike Fechner, Managing Director of Consultingwerk Ltd.  Mike has been working with Progress for over 15 years and is well known to OpenEdge Advanced GUI developers as a very early adopter and an extremely active technology preview, beta program participant and online community particpant.

Participants will learn how to work with OpenEdge Architect and the Visual Designer; the basics of OO ABL as they apply to working with .NET; how the Advanced GUI integrates with existing code (including App Builder based applications) and how to take maximum advantage of this exciting new technology from Progress.

We may have a limited number of PCs available for on-site participants but you are stongly encouraged to bring your own laptop.

We will be using a pre-built image in the Amazon Cloud.  Both on-site and remote participants will receive directions to access and test this image before-hand.

In this session we will use WinKitLE (light edition) - a free toolkit

Ribbon and replace a Progress Browse widget with an UltraGrid.
